Hi, I am Pegah, and in a word, I am a researcher
Let me take you on a journey
Several years ago, I started to follow my dream of being a helpful member of society. At that moment, my path lay in the university path and followed the basics of research and physics. I put my heart and soul into it and followed the course; 18 years later, I was a respected scientist, with a suitcase full of experience, from project management, successful proposals, grant award, high-impact scientific publications, and dozens of presentations in high-level scientific communities. Meanwhile I continue my education and graduated as a PhD and started working as a post-doctoral candidate in Empa, ETH, also winning one of highest rank proposals in scientific community: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action grant.
Everything was going according to the plan, although the eagerness toward learning new fields was always there; this motivation met the covid lockdown period and led me to different courses in UX design, including a Google UX design certificate and joining an online interactive course. There I learned more about empathy and methodological human interaction research. With the strong research background that I brought from academia, I was thriving in UX research, and my experience in working within a multicultural environment helped me in adapting quickly to an agile environment.
In this career change path, I figured out new aspects of my personality:
I am a storyteller; also I am naturally a helper. I enjoy helping people to find the best possibilities for them. Besides I am a leader as well.
And what does that mean? It means helping people before they tell me that they need it. My expertise is allowing them to achieve their goals by easing up their journey.
